​Forthcoming commissions include a Concerto for Orchestra commissioned by Orchestra Of The Sawn and scheduled for 2020-21 season and an Oboe Concerto for the Presteigne 2021 Festival.

Recording news: Symphony No.5

​Future recordings include a CD of Matthew's ​​Symphony No.5 with Ken Woods conducting the English Symphony Orchestra. The CD will also feature some of Matthew's smaller works for string orchestra.

Composer In Residence at the British Isles Music Festival 2019

Friday 9th to Sunday 18th August 2019

Matthew has been appointed Composer In Residence at the British Isles Music Festival which takes place from 9-18 August at Charterhouse School, Goldalming, Surrey.

Works of his to be featured include String Quartet No,8, Flute Trio and Wind Quintet from 13-16 August.

Blackheath Music Appreciation Group Autumn 2019: The World of Dvorak

Monday 16th September to Monday 25th November 2019

Matthew will be giving a series of 10 lectures held in the Recital Room at Blackheath Halls, London SE3 - just 20 minutes from Charing Cross and Victoria. The lectures are held on Monday mornings from 10am-12pm and will start on ​16 September 2019.

The musically illustrated lectures are devised so that one does not need technical knowledge whilst at the same time the experienced aficionado has always something new to learn. All newcomers are most welcome.
